A professional golf competition on the DP World Tour is the Genesis Scottish Open. Since 2022, the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour have jointly produced this Rolex Series event. As a result, a larger reward fund attracts more of the game's elite competitors. The North Berwick Renaissance Club will host the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open from July 9–12.

It began in 1972 but was abandoned two years later because it couldn't get television coverage. After being revived, it has been held each year since 1986. The competition often takes place in July, a week before The Open Championship, giving competitors one more opportunity to qualify and get ready for the major.

Xander Schauffele won the event for the third time in a row in 2022, defeating Kurt Kitayama by one shot.
