This year, when the Taiwan Glass Taifong Open makes its debut on the Asian Tour, it will begin an exciting new chapter in its history.

The competition has been among the most significant and profitable events on the Asian Development Tour (ADT) since 2014. However, this season, its prize money will rise to US$400,000, opening the door for its promotion to the main circuit.

It will be the 20th event of the season and will take place at Taifong Golf Club, its usual location in Chang Hwa County in central Chinese Taipei, from November 30 to December 3, 2023.

The Asia Tour will make three trips to Chinese Taipei this year with the addition of the Taiwan Glass Taifong Open.

The competition was the last event of the ADT season when it was added back to the schedule last year following a three-year hiatus due to the global epidemic.

Chan, a local icon and five-time Asian Tour winner, won the event in 2014 and 2018. American Johannes Veerman (2016), Thai Donlaphatchai Niyomchon (2019), American Pannakorn Uthaipas (2017), and American Rattanon Wannasrichan (2015) are among the other past champions.
