SDC Championship 2023 Suspended on Friday

 

Due to high winds on Friday, play in the SDC Championship 2023 had to be halted with Julien Brun in the lead at 8 under par.

The south coast of South Africa is notoriously windy, so while the Frenchman shot a 5-under 67 on the St. Francis Links course, most of the day was wasted due to the weather.

Starting a stroke earlier than Brun, Jens Dantorp, Albert Venter, and Matthew Baldwin all finished their second rounds to finish two shots behind the leader.

Overnight, David Ravetto and Kristian Krogh Johannessen shared the lead with a score of 5 under. But, they had not yet completed their second round and will be required to do so early on Saturday.
