The Chevron Championship (formerly the ANA Inspiration) is one of the most prestigious events on the LPGA Tour and attracts thousands of spectators each year. The tournament was sponsored by Chevron and played at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California. The 2026 Chevron Championship LPGA Tour event will take place from April 23–26, 2026. The 2023 tournament had a total purse of $5,100,000 and featured a field of 73 players, including some of the top players on the LPGA Tour. The format of the tournament was a 72-hole stroke play event, with a cut made after the second round to the top 70 players and ties.

Some of the notable winners of the Chevron Championship included Lorena Ochoa, Paula Creamer, and Na Yeon Choi. The tournament was discontinued after the 2013 season due to a change in sponsorship and scheduling conflicts with the PGA Tour's World Challenge tournament, which also took place at Sherwood Country Club.

Since the Chevron Championship ended, the LPGA Tour has added several new tournaments to its schedule, including the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions, the Honda LPGA Thailand, and the Pelican Women's Championship.

In 2022, Jennifer Kupcho won her first major championship by two strokes over Jessica Korda.
